| Manly Dance is the vision and creation of Galia and James. Galia’s love of dance and frustration at the lack of facilities on the Northern Beaches inspired her to act upon a life long dream of opening her own dance studio. With her partner James, they have designed and built a high quality dance studio where everyone can explore the amazing world of dance in all its forms. “We wanted a studio that not only reflected our passion for dance and artistic expression, but suited the relaxed, yet vibrant cosmopolitan feel of Manly. We wanted to create an environment where everyone is welcome, from 2 to 80, for fit and aspiring dancers to those who think they have two left feet.” |

Manly Dance's Vision"Manly Dance's purpose is to improve the health, fitness and mindset of the local community and motivate, inspire, educate and empower everyone from young children to grandparents to be the best they can be through dance""Dance is not about being the best person on the dance floor, it is not about being better than the person dancing next to you. Its about using dance to feel the best inside, and sharing that with the person you are dancing with or next to you. If you can do that then dance means something, we believe that has been lost. Yes we believe that everyone should strive to be better each day, that is how everyone grows, but not by comparing your level against anyone else's. It is about how you feel and how you challenge yourself. In the end it is only you that can really feel if you have grown, based upon how you feel." "We believe at Manly Dance that we can help anyone become a better dancer and enjoy life, not through competition, but by having fun and inspiring each other. Dance is ageless, it was around before banks and all this financial stuggle, dance was around before people lived in houses, but has continued throughout society. Why? Dance envokes emotion, it is fun, it brings people together and motivates them. Dance releases frustration and motivates people." "If you can walk through our door, step on to the dancefloor, listen to the music, move with some coordination and FEEL GREAT, then you have succeeded. It doesn't matter if you are not completely coordinated or can't remember all the steps, we can teach you that. We look forward to dancing with you soon..." James & Galia

| We have based Manly Dance upon four core values: | ||
FunBecause lets be honest, if you can't have fun dancing what is the point. One of our key values when starting Manly Dance was to build a dance studio which was a fun and relaxed place to learn dance. We wanted to remove any intimidation or pressure, which new or inexperienced dancers may feel. We believe we have build a studio where everyone can learn to dance, and most importantly, have fun. This is reflected in our amazing team of teachers, who are some of the most inspiring, professional and talented interational and Australian dancers and choreographers. SafetySafety is the primary consideration in every aspect of Manly Dance, from first aid and fire safety training for staff, and working with children checks on childrens teachers. Manly Dance has implemented an Occupational Health and Safety Plan and Risk Assessment to identify and remove potential risks to Manly Dance Staff, visitors and students. |

Environmental SustainabilityOne of the primary principles of Manly Dance is to design, construct and operate a dance studio with minimal impact upon the local and global environment. For more information on how Manly Dance has reduced its impact upon the local and global environment click here. |
