Afro Moves and Grooves
Afro Moves & Groove classes are based on the fundamental principal that Dancing to dynamic, percussive, rhythmic sounds from the heart of Africa, allows each person to reconnect with their own dancing spirit.

Combine breath work based on ancient pranic breath techniques & EXPANSIVE Afro-Dance Moves. This Dynamic fusion allows each student to experience & learn a series of choreographies that allows their bodies to feel free while in a fun & funky environment. AFRO Dance Moves & Grooves are traditional, exuberant ,& expressive movements from the roots of AFRICA, that leave each student feeling ALIVE, POSITIVE , uplifting the soul, nurturing the spirit & toning the body. Argentine Tango
Argentine Tango is a dance conversation between two people. You, and a dance partner, can express musical moods through improvised movements. You can dance simple tango after one lesson, but spend a lifetime developing your own dancing. The Argentine Tango is one of the most passionate and intense dance styles to come out of Latin America.

Argentine tango can look complicated, but we make learning fun and can provide a framework to simplify your learning process.

Ballet
Ballet is an art form that requires grace, poise, and athleticism. Like other dance forms, Ballet can express a mood, reflect the classical music, and provide a full body work out. Ballet increases flexibility, co-ordination, posture and confidence. Learn the disciplines of classical Ballet, in a fun atmosphere allowing you to discover and explore your talent. Each class is taught with enthusiasm and innovative ideas by a professional dancer. Every level of experience is welcome! Wear athletic clothing that let you bend and stretch.

Kids what to wear: Simple ballet attire, tight fitting and off the floor to allow freedom and movement. Please tie long hair back and out of the face. Suggestions for Girls: leotard, chiffon short skirt. Suggestions for Boys: white t-shirt or leotard, black bike shorts. Please wear ballet shoes.
Adults: Normal athletic clothing. Barefoot or ballet shoes (preferred).

Ballroom (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep)
You will learn the true art of two people moving as one under the rhythms of waltz, tango, foxtrot and quickstep. Balance, poise, style and grace, the foxtrot is the biggest challenge in Modern Ballroom. Once you have the basics the rest seems easy. No partner required.

Belly Dancing For Fun and Fitness Adult Class
Learn the ancient art of Belly Dance, increase your confidence, self-esteem and fitness while you have fun in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Belly Dancing is for everyone, there are no barriers - it teaches you to love and accept who you are without making changes. In this fantastic beginners course you will learn the fundamental techniques, travelling steps, turns, interpretation of the music and a fun routine.

What to Wear: Comfortable fitted clothes as this allows us to see movement, assuring the correct technique...to assure the correct technique, bare foot or jiffies’ ptional: bring a scarf to tie around your hips, and any fun belly dancing clothing you would like to wear.

Brazilian Drumming
Come and learn to play various Brazilian grooves from the hardcore batucada rhythms of the world famous Rio carnival to laid back infectious grooves of northern Brazil. For the complete Brazilian experience, we run our Samba class at the same time, so the Samba dancers dance to YOUR hot latin rhythms. The atmosphere is electric.. so come along we run weekly classes open to all abilities.

Break
Breakdance, breaking or b-boying is a street dance style that evolved as part of the hip hop movement among African American and Puerto Rican youths in the South Bronx of New York City during the early 1970s. It is normally danced to funk or hip hop music, often remixed to prolong the breaks, and is arguably the best known of all hip hop dance styles.

Capoeira, the unique Brazilian art form that combining martial art, dance, music, and acrobatics. Improve your coordination, rhythm, strength, and self confidence. Community Class
Manly Dance's community class is a free class we offer to members of the local community who would not usually have the opportunity to dance. Currently the class is a free dance class for seniors, however, we would like to also offer the studio to other community groups to experience the joy of dance. Contemporary
Contemporary dance is an artistic form of expressive dance. Focusing on the abstract form of ballet. Students will benefit from learning to appreciate dance as an art form. Contemporary is used widely to depict stories through dance.

Contemporary dance is characterised by its versatility: contemporary can be danced to almost any style of music, or united with other dance forms to create new styles of movement. Contemporary seeks to work with the natural alignment of the body, and is therefore safe and accessible for beginners.

Jazz
Learn exciting jazz combinations, which will leave you sweating and smiling! This class is fun, energetic, and challenging but not pressured. Beginner to more advanced are welcome. Everyone is free to work at their own pace. You will practice and build on technique, while learning movements to put together in a dance routine. Stylish, classic, and always fun!

Wear comfortable dance/work out attire and jazz shoes, trainers, socks or bare feet.

Latin (Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Jive)
A seductive dance of cat and mouse, the cha cha is more than just steps, its a story between 2 people and is usually referred to as the cheeky Cha Cha Cha. The second dance is the samba, as per carnival danced on the streets of Rio De Janeiro this dance is designed with one thing in mind to have FUN!  It is full of bounce and partner interaction. Also, learn the rumba, the sensual dance of love. From the streets of Cuba the rumba is the slowest rhythm in the Latin section allowing your body to move in a way you never knew how. Finally, invented by the American's, Jive is fast, twisting, and groovy and will leave you wanting to never stop. No partner required.

Pole Dancing
Pole dancing is increasingly becoming one of the most popular forms of dance and exercise in general. It provides a cardio and strength work out for all fitness levels you do not get fit to pole dance, you pole dance to get fit!  You will notice physical changes in your body within weeks. Not only does pole dancing provide you with physical benefits, it also increases your self-confidence, helping you to become comfortable with and proud of your body and sensuality. Students will learn a variety of moves and combinations which will be put together in a routine that they will be able to show off to their friends, or just to that special someone. Our aim is to create an atmosphere which is welcoming and not intimidating so wear clothes that you feel comfortable in, feel free to wear high heels, runners or simply go bare foot. Shorts however are required to grip the pole.

Street Jazz
A fusion of hip hop, modern jazz, commercial Latin and pop. The style and music is rooted in clubs – unlike the theatre Jazz Dance style, most people associate with Jazz. Definitely no ‘Jazz Hands’ here. This class is energetic, diverse and extremely athletic. Expressive movements, energetic make this dance for all the levels and allow people to express themselves.

Street Funk is a form of Jazz that involves isolations, specific body movements, advanced coordination, and intricate Jazz footwork.

Yoga Flow
Dancers require strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, and body awareness in order to stay safe, improve technique and have fun. This dynamic vinyasa (flow) Hatha yoga class focuses on warrior poses and lunges for strengthening and toning dancers’ legs, arms, core (abdominals), and increased hip flexibility. Balancing one-legged poses for strong feet, ankles, and better balance. Postures that stretch and strengthen the back for improved mobility of the spine, chest, front shoulder muscles, and much, much more!

Throughout the 60 minute practice, combine postures (asanas) with breath and mindfulness to move through various challenging, invigorating, strengthening, and flexibility increasing postures. Beginners are welcome! Dancers and “two left-feeters” alike stand to gain benefit from this graceful practice in the form of:

In this class you will learn a variety of creative and challenging dance steps,that will get your heart pumping!
